I absolutely loved the cozy and homey atmosphere of this guesthouse. The decoration was charming, with traditional Japanese elements combined with modern touches. The common areas were inviting and comfortable, perfect for relaxing and socializing with other guests. As a senior woman, I really appreciated the accessibility of the hotel. The hallways were wide and well-lit, making it easy for me to navigate with my mobility limitations.

My only request for a better vacation for senior people would be for the children working there to provide more assistance with carrying luggage.

Charming guesthouse with very friendly owner. Excellent location, just a short walk from the train station and the boat pier. The place was very clean and modern. One evening we had a dinner with the owner and his wife, which was a very enjoyable experience.

No towels provided, but available for rent at a small fee. It would have been helpful if there was a way to dry the towels after use.

I was thrilled to be treated like family at the guesthouse. The shared lounge was a great place to relax. Plus, who doesn't love a free drink and parking?

Just a tiny inconvenience, but who needs privacy? Brushing my teeth in the hallway with strangers was a fantastic bonding experience.

Our room was perfectly clean and airy and complete with a clean bathroom. The food was GOOD with a huge variety of choice! The hotel had great staff members. The location was great and fantastic for walking around a Rinzai Zen Buddhist temple.

The owner's excellent English and helpfulness made our stay enjoyable. The room next to the bathroom was convenient and clean. The welcome plum wine was a nice touch. The parking arrangement was not a problem, and the air conditioning was essential for the summer heat. The property's location was central and great value.

Plenty of croissants and jam for breakfast. The room is separate and has good air conditioning that you can adjust. The bed is really comfortable, too. The location is amazing, right by the bay, the festival, and Zuigan-ji temple. 🌟

The staff were so friendly, and they even spoke English! They gave me awesome travel tips and hot spring coupons. The location was perfect, close to everything including hidden cafes and a bakery. My room was bigger than expected and super clean. Towels were provided for free, and I got a yummy snack at check-in. The building was quiet, with easy access to my room. Facilities were clean and the host made GREAT restaurant recommendations. Beds were comfy, and there were cheap drinks available. Nothing to complain about, would definitely stay here again!

The owner, Eiju, was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. He spoke excellent English and provided me with helpful tips and recommendations for exploring the area. One highlight of my stay was when Eiju accompanied me to the glass museum, and we had a fantastic time together. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was basic but good, and everything was spotless. I highly recommend this guesthouse for a friendly and enjoyable experience in Matsushima.

The location of this guesthouse is fantastic, right in the heart of all the main attractions in Matsushima. We were able to easily explore the beautiful sights just a short walk away. The owner of the guesthouse was incredibly helpful and provided us with excellent recommendations for things to do in the area. The cleanliness of the guesthouse was impeccable and it offered great value for money.
